Hainan Modern Women and Children's Hospital, founded in 2004, is a large-scale modern grade A (grade A) obstetrics and gynecology hospital integrating medical treatment, prevention, health care, scientific research and teaching, with strong medical technical force. There are two branches. One is Xiuying Branch（No.28 Yongwan Road, Xiuying District, Haikou City）, the other one is Fucheng Branch（No. 18-1, Qiongzhou Avenue, Qiongshan District, Haikou City）. Gynecology, a key department in our hospital, provides clinical care, undertakes clinical teaching, and conducts scientific researches. The department is responsible for clinical care, medical teaching, woman care, premarital care, and pre-pregnancy eugenic checkups. Gynecologic care services are supported and delivered by a strong and professional team consisting of chief physicians and professors with excellent expertise and experiences. Gynecology Clinic, which is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, provides care for various gynecologic diseases; diagnosis, prevention and treatment of reproductive tract infections (vulvitis, vaginitis cervicitis, and pelvic inflammatory disease); three-step diagnosis and standardized treatment of cervical diseases; cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, cervical diseases, early cervical cancer screening, colposcopy and biopsy; diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic benign tumors; postoperative follow-up and management of malignant tumors.

Neonatology Services

Neonatology Dept in Hainan Modern Women and Children's Hospital has 45 beds; spacial, bright, and cozy patient wards; and well-equipped and furnished functional areas. And state-of-the-art medical technologies include central monitoring system, imported neonatal ventilator, portable DR, phototherapy incubator and air circulation disinfection system, automated Siemens Biochemistry Analyzer, blood gas analyzer, and imported 4D ultrasound.
Service scope includes accompanied high-risk delivery, multidisciplinary consultation, management of hospitalized neonates, and management of neonate rooming-in and other services, which are able to meet care needs for commonly seen neonatal diseases. We have made remarkable achievements especially in management of newborns with low or extremely low birth weight (minimum gestational age 26 weeks), complications, and critically ill and suffocating neonates. The department also provides normal and high frequency mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, use of pulmonary surfactants (PS) for neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), PICC, and parenteral nutrition.
The chief neonatologist has 30 years of clinical experiences at neonatology department in a grade 3 level A hospital. All doctors in the department are clinically experienced and previously worked in pediatrics department and neonatology department in grade 3 level A hospitals.
